Jeremy Richards

Jeremy is a Trial Attorney that has been working with the Garmon Firm for the past three years.  Jeremy currently has cases being litigated in both State and Federal Courts. 

Background

Jeremy gained his undergraduate degree in Forensics from the University of West Florida in 2000.  While attending the University of West Florida Jeremy played Rugby, earning Deep South All-star honors, and is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon.  After graduation, He immediately began service as an Intelligence Officer in the US Army.  He was a paratrooper with a deployment to Kosovo and achieved the rank of Captain.  After military service Jeremy spent over 10 years as a law enforcement officer in both Alabama and Florida.   He had a variety of service areas and served his community as a Patrol Officer, K-9 Office, Detective and Lieutenant.   As having a desire to serve a higher calling Jeremy obtained his Master’s Degree in Theology and a Doctorate in Ministry while serving as a bi-vocational Pastor.  Jeremy graduated from Birmingham School of Law in 2016 and immediately took and passed the Alabama Bar Exam.   After passing the bar exam Jeremy opened his own practice and became a Trial Attorney for Garmon and Associates, PLLC.

Jeremy is a Member of the Alabama State Bar, the Christian Legal Society, The Christian Law Association and is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. 

Personal Life

Jeremy grew up as the son of a Military Office and spent his life moving all of the world.  Jeremy was born in Pell City, Alabama and as a child lived in New Orleans, Virginia, Hawaii, Florida and graduated from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan.  He is married to his better half, Jenny Richards and they have six children; Dylan, Claire, Maggie, Kara, Caleigh and Caitlin.    They are all active members of Meadowview Baptist Church.
